Designer: Lloyd Schwan
Lloyd Schwan, with his partner Lyn Godley, has been the first american designer since the Sixties to elevate his name at the highest level in New York design world. Famous for his exuberant use of colours, when it wasn’t jet just a trend, in 1988 he introduced for the first time in Milan his fun and functional objects, paving the way for the birth of widespread public-available american design furnishings. With his work, high level items abandon art galleries and limited editions to become affordable to common people. Nowadays some of his works can be found in museum, such as the Denver Art Museum, the New York Art and Design Museum and the Moma.
