Nathan hails from Wanganui, a sleepy town on the west coast of New Zealand with a rich creative culture and a controversial past. After studying industrial design, he founded Goldsworthy. His approach celebrates materiality and machines, exploring the beauty inherent in basic functions of furniture, and in its construction. His designs have established a notable presence both in New Zealand and Australia, and have won a host of awards.
